Hardcover. Zustand: Fair. Hardcover. Red brown cloth over boards with black stamping on front cover; gilt stamping on spine. Title page dated 1881. Copyright page dated 1880. 483 pages. In fair condition. Covers have some speckled fading, with wear to cloth along edges and head and foot of spine, partially revealing bits of the…boards beneath cloth. Stamping remains quite bright and unfaded. Covers remain attached by a thread, though you wouldn't be able to tell by outside appearance. Binding of text block remains secure -- no loose pages that I can see. Previous owner's name written lightly and in neat script on front free endpaper. Pages may have a small bit of foxing here and there, but otherwise are free of marks or tears throughout. Overall, a fair reading copy.
