Interesting immediately pre-Freudian overview of the topic drawing on numerous late 19th century authorities such as Hartmann, Romanes, Maudsley et al (but not F.W.H.Myers I note). Much on role of unconscious in relation to physical illness therapeutic approaches but nothing I can see on psychotherapeutic or mental illness contexts.
