Catalogue in two volumes of the legacy Nesto Jacometti (1898-1973) Swiss art-publisher: He jumped as a poet in the art of Montparnasse, wrote for art magazines and organized several exhibitions. He moved to Geneva in 1939, he participated in radio, he wrote for several newspapers and worked at the office Switzerland tourism. In 1949 he founded, together with Pierre Cailler, the Guild international prints, while in 1955 he created The Oeuvre gravée two publishing initiatives that contributed to the renewal of the press and gave notoriety to some of the greatest artists of the 20th century. (Serge Poliakoff, Zoran Music, Alfred Manessier, Hans Erni, Zao Wo-ki). Back in Locarno in 1949, he collaborated with Virgilio Gilardoni and left to the city almost all its editions along with hundreds of original engravings, preserved at the Pinacoteca comumnale Casa Rusca. In 1953 he received the grand prize of the critics at the Venice Biennale for his contribution to art history. Original boards and slipcase. As New.
