Includes the Latin poem Regi Epinicium followed by Corneille's French translation; a second Latin poem Annae Austriacae Epicedium; the (Latin) poem sequence Emblemata Heroica, enlarged for this edition and featuring seven full-page emblems from copper engravings by Cossin; the (Latin) poem sequence Paraphrases Horatianae; and finally three sacred odes (two in Latin, the last in French). Besides the emblems the book uses a number of equally finely engraved headpieces and vignettes. Contemporary limp vellum. One small neat annotation on title page. Vellum little darkened and well-handled but clean and supple. Overall very good.
