Hans år som ärkebiskop anses särskilt betydelsefulla, eftersom Svenska kyrkan under de åren arbetade fram en ny handbok, en ny katekes och en ny psalmbok (den wallinska!).

Première édition de la traduction française d'après l'édition originale suédoise parue en 1764. Nils Rosén de Rosenstein (1706-1773), médecin suédois, est considéré comme le fondateur de la pédiatrie moderne. Il traite de l'allaitement par des nourrices et de l'allaitement artificiel à l'aide d'un biberon. Il donne des conseils d'hygiène inhabituels pour l'époque, recommandant "de bien couvrir les vaisseaux (récipients) où l'on met ce que l'on fait prendre à l'enfant, de peur qu'il n'y tombe des insectes ou autre chose de malpropre". Il donne une excellente description de la scarlatine, de la coqueluche, de la variole. Il reconnaît que la coqueluche "n'attaque que ceux qui ne l'ont pas encore eue" et estime que la cause "doit être une matière étrangère, ou un principe nuisible qui se répand et se propage comme celui de la petite vérole". Ses traitements sont parfois curieux. Later edition of a popular Swedish Domestic medicine chest or first-aid kit for travelers of which more than 10 editions appeared between 1765 (first edition) till 1800. The author Nils Rosen von Rosenstein (1706-1773) was a well-known Swedish physician, considered the founder of modern pediatric. His main work, The diseases of children, and their remedies is considered to be 'the first modern textbook on the subject', with translations in English by Andrew Sparman and Dutch. Rosen was the First physician to the King of Sweden and a Knight of the Polar Star. He studied in Leiden with Herman Boerhaave and Pieter van Musschenbroek.Title soiled and thumbed, slight browned throughout.
