Sie fand vom 31.1.2007 bis 1.2.2007 in den Räumlichkeiten des Bundesministeriums in Berlin statt. Am 1.2.2008 wurde das internationale Netzwerk S.U.P.I Social Uncertanty, Precarity, Inequality gegründet, um die schon mehrjährig bestehenden Arbeitszusammenhänge zwischen den betei-ligten Wissenschaftlern zu institutionalisieren und zu professionalisieren. Um das wachsende Phänomen der prekären Arbeitsverhältnisse und seinen Einfluss auf den Arbeitsmarkt und die Gesellschaft zu verstehen, müssen auf einem europäischen Level vor-rangig zwei Aspekte herausgestellt werden: die ökonomische Krise und die Arbeitsmarktre-formen. Ein europäisches Projekt, das auch politisch Einfluss auf die Reorganisation des pro-duktiven ökonomischen Systems mit den Anforderungen eines neuen Sozialsystems nimmt, wird in der augenblicklichen Situation dringend benötigt.
