16mo., (32) pp., full-page b&w photographs and a few small sketches. Color illustrated stiff wrappers; small stain on rear. Very good. Tipped to the front is a printed slip regarding the Premo Catalogue noting the prices have been reduced. This booklet serves as a general overview of the uses and ease of use of the Premo camera; the latter part shows cameras and prices. Rochester Optical Company's most successful innovation, the "Premo" line, was introduced in 1893 and continued for almost 30 years. After an unsuccessful merging with several other companies in Rochester, in 1907 the company was acquired by George Eastman, and became the Rochester Optical Division of the Eastman Kodak Company; in 1918 it changed to the Rochester Optical Department.

8vo., 64 pp., illustrated with engravings; 1 page priced list of Zeiss anastigmatic lenses laid-in. Decorative paper wrappers. A few small stains, spine ends chipped, soft vertical crease; very good. Edgar James Pullman (1836-1923) moved from his birth state of New York to Washington D.C. during the Civil War. He was a pioneer among local photographers. He set up the first photographic show in the city and sold the first camera brought to D.C. Numerous photographers of the city owed their start to him. His first shop was located on the third floor of 935 Pennsylvania Avenue. Largely for the professional photographer, this illustrated and priced catalogue has a wide range of view cameras, including The Carlton, The Universal, The Ideal, The Empire State, The Peerless, The Stereoscopic, The Katch, The Premo, and several miniature roll film cameras. Also included are film and plate holders, tripods, shutters, lenses, printing frames, lanterns, beakers, trays, chemicals, plates, and card mounts.
