Hardcover. Zustand: Near Fine. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Near Fine. Second American edition. Translated by George Chatterton-Hill. Pictorial cloth. Light dampstain at the bottom of the text pages, thus about very good in very good pictorial dust jacket with a corresponding stain, some small chips, and some very near professional reinforcement of the folds. Not about vampires at all, but a polemic attempting to demonstrate the insatiable greed of Great Britain for Empire. However, the striking illustration on both the front board and repeated on the dust jacket, of a winging vampire sinking its claws into a nude woman, is among our favorites. We've never seen the book in jacket before.
