Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. 1st Edition. 8vo, xviii + pp130 complete with 10 b/w plates, errata slip and fold out geological chart to rear. Hardcover no dust jacket. Original binding of purple cloth with gilt titles to spine and blind stamped borders and centerpieces to boards in very good condition with some sunning to edges of back boards. Inside ex-library stamps from "Manchester Geological Society" to title page and verso and to back of the plates. Otherwise all pages and plates in excellent clean and bright condition. Brodie was an English geologist and churchman, an active member of the Cotteswold Naturalist's Club, the Warwickshire Natural History and Archaeological Society and chief founder of the Warwickshire Naturalists' and Archaeologists' Field Club and recipient of The Murchison Medal awarded by the Geological Society of London. A very nice copy.
