Previous owner's inscriptions to front pastedown and free endpaper. Brown staining to pages throughout. Noticeable creasing to gutter. Cracking to gutters, with exposed netting. Pages remain intact. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Soft crushing to spine ends. Visible tanning to spine and edges. Light marks overall. Book is slightly cocked.

Zustand: Good. First edition of the second series (hardback). 16mo (16cm by 10cm), 233pp. Engraved frontispiece. Modern library binding of stout green cloth, gilt titling to spine. Formerly in Swindon reference library, with a label removed from the front free endpaper and a stamp to the title page, light stains to margins of frontispiece. Overall, this book is in good to very good condition.
