Laurie Doherty (1875-1919) won the Wimbledon singles title five times in a row and the doubles seven times, with his brother, Reggie. In 1903 he won the US Open, thus became the first tennis player to win a Grand Slam tournament outside of his native country. Reggie Doherty (1872-1910) won the Wimbledon singles title four times at the end of the 19th century and the doubles on eight occasions. 1st reprint. Large 8vo. 87pp. including frontis.
