First edition. Royal octavo. 60 pages. Of 800 numbered copies printed by Geo. W. Jones at The Dolphin Press this is one of 600 for distribution in England - the remaining 200 were sold by Random House in America. Original white buckram with elaborate pictorial gilt on both covers by Charles Ricketts. Typography also by Ricketts. The memoir was wholly his work, the fictional Jean Paul Raymond being a literary artifice. Small bookplate on front pastedown. Front free and rear endpapers and penultimate blank tanned and spotted.
