This book, technically a work of fiction, was written by Katharine Johnson, a teacher at Hiroshima Girls' School for eighteen years before World War II. John F. Rasche, a nephew of Katharine Johnson, compiled supplemental information. This book is unique in its emphasis on the lives of the people before the bomb falls.
