Spine pale blue, title in gilt somewhat faded. 307 pages yellowing a little good and clean with clear print. Minor foxing on edge of pages, no foxing on end papers. No date shown. Book presented to Carl Vierkier, from Lewis H Mathew 1900. Frontispiece: black and white plate, holding the book near the candle, turning her face away from arvie.
