Sterling condition hardcover copy, bound handsomely in original publisher's cloth, with unbruised tips, tight binding, and clean internals, showing only very slight shelf- and edge-wear; not ex-library, with neither underlining nor highlighting anywhere. Dubbed by some almost a heroic work invoking nearly 2,000 French bookbinders and binderies, and includes a geographical listing of bookbinders working outside Paris, being a fine dictionary of French bookbinders in which are gathered the (often very scant) available data about their activity.
