En la primera parte, se revisan las características de los programas efectivos y el tipo de estrategias psicosociales que se han mostrado ejemplares en la prevención de la violencia, la delincuencia, la exclusión social, el abuso de drogas, el desempleo y otros problemas sociales. En la segunda parte, se realiza una recopilación de casos de intervención psicosocial efectiva. Con una guía de análisis de programas psicosociales en diez preguntas, se presentan intervenciones para la prevención de embarazos no deseados, la rehabilitación de personas sin hogar, la prevención del abandono escolar, la orientación laboral, la reinserción de niños de la calle, la prevención del sida y la promoción del voluntariado, entre otras necesidades sociales. DEXA 90 was held in Vienna, Austria; DEXA 91 in Berlin, Germany; and DEXA 92 will take place in Valencia, Spain, where we are celebrating the discovery of thc New World just five centurics ago, in Leonardo's age.
