A.e.g. A fine, as new volume (now out-of-print) in Easton Press' "Readers Choice" series, still in publisher's shrinkwrap and original shipping carton. Front cover stamped in white, shades of darker green and gilt, with an underlying pirate flag. Illustrated with 9 Howard Pyle color plates, and a color frontispiece with a tissue guard. Two leaves with offset browning from a previously inserted piece of newsprint (Howard Pyle illustrations not affected). Covers with some light soiling and a hint of fraying at extremities of spine, but still a very good copy. This work first appeared in Harper's magazine, August 1907.

Heavy watermarks to both boards, stained lower corner of first fourteen pages of bloack - none to rear. Foxing scattered throughout. Threads starting to show at rear hinge, but solid. A very nice copy overall.

Bound in publisher's gold cloth with black and red designs and gild lettering along the spine and front board, have mild shelving wear, mild bending wear along the fore corners, small stains on the front and rear boards and spine, and mild age-toning along the spine. Textblock is lightly splitting to gutter from page 16-26, has stains from a piece of paper between pages 26 and 27, light soling on a few pages, small open tears along the fore edges of pages 177//178 and 283-286, mild wear along the edges, stains on the head and tail edges, and mild age-toning along the edges.
