Front cover stamped in white, shades of darker green and gilt, with an underlying pirate flag. Illustrated with 9 Howard Pyle color plates, and a color frontispiece with a tissue guard. Two leaves with offset browning from a previously inserted piece of newsprint (Howard Pyle illustrations not affected). Covers with some light soiling and a hint of fraying at extremities of spine, but still a very good copy. This work first appeared in Harper's magazine, August 1907.
