On Mr. Pugh's appointment as Congo Field Secretary in 1925, she lived in Leopoldville, the capital of Belgian Congo. Her life and work there brought her into close touch with members of the Administration and with missionaries of all Evangelical Societies in Belgian Congo and Portuguese West Africa.
