Earth First! quickly came to national attention with their "cracking" of Glen Canyon Dam activist stunt, which was performed and filmed in the spring of 1981. Edward Abbey is considered to be the "literary father" of the group. "Earth First! is the beginning of the new, bold environmental movement. And 'Earth First! This is the first article that the Wright brothers (credited just to Wilbur) published on their experiments in flight, two full years before their success at Kitty Hawk. It was first presented at a Sept 1901 conference and then printed in the Journal of the Western Society of Engineers in December 1901, and was revised for inclusion in the Smithsonian report, and Chanute introduction added. The full book is bound in green cloth with gold lettering. Binding good and tight. 687 pages. Includes aviation article on aeronautical progress by Baden-Powell, essay by H.G.
