Half leather and marbled boards covers have surface rubbing, joints and extremities also rubbed, fr.joint appears to have thin split but is quite tight and secure. First published in German in 1772, from 1792 at least this was, as here, subsequently issued in translation as Volume 3 of editions of Hartley's 'Observations on Man' (hence pagination), but is in effect a separate work which stands alone (although the Index covers all 3 vols). Apparently scarce.

His Attempts At Explicit Albeit Somewhat Obvious Analysis Of The Mechanics Of Mental Activity Laid An Important Framework Of Discussion For Subsequent Academic Psychology.
