Interessante manoscritto di fisica in latino con dedica di dono a ''Antonio, dicto cognomine Marchi'' da parte di Jacopo Pinali ''Eximius physicis'', affinchè questi ammaestramenti ''discenda per annum''. L'opera, chiaramente e fittamente vergata è corredata da precisi disegni e comprende un'introduzione generale alla fisica con alcuni approfondimenti di ottica e soprattutto di astronomia. Libro d'uso e di studio, corredato da una serie di fogli volanti e lettere: -foglio a stampa con sonetto del 1818 di Giovanni Berra in occasione della morte di ''Emmanuele Maria dei Conti di Thunn'' con al verso appunti ms.; -foglio a stampa con decreto di Eugenio Napoleone del 1812 sulle scuole e sui licei; -promemoria manoscritto tratto dalla Gazzetta di Milano del 1819; - una lettera autografa manoscritta di Angelo Bellani al Pinali datata 6 settembre 1820 (1 p. in-8 ripiegata con indirizzo e sigillo in ceralacca al verso) a proposito della spedizione a Trento di alcuni ''termometrografi''; -una serie di appunti con calcoli. Due interessanti note sulla sguardia anteriore e in fine al testo fanno menzione delle scoperte degli ultimi pianeti. Si tratta di una serie di nozioni probabilmente raccolte dal Pinali, all'epoca docente presso il Regio Liceo Convitto di Verona, forse da impartire ai suoi allievi. . Book.

Repräsentatives Funktionsporträt eines Universitätsprofessors und Klinikers, bestimmt zur Verbreitung in gebildeten und fachlichen Kreisen und zur dauerhaften Dokumentation der akademischen Elite. Die Komposition zeigt Pinali als ruhig sitzende Halbfigur in dunkler, modisch-bürgerlicher Kleidung vor neutralem Fond; durch das Fehlen wissenschaftlicher Geräte wird seine Person als gelehrter Bürger hervorgehoben. Die gedruckte Legende mit Namensangabe und Titeln sowie die faksimilierte Unterschrift dienen der Authentifizierung und entsprechen der verbreiteten Praxis repräsentativer Ärzteporträts des mittleren 19. Jahrhunderts. Die sorgfältige Modellierung des Kopfes und die zurückhaltende Schraffur sind charakteristisch für Cecchinis lithographischen Stil. Vincenzo Antonio Luigi Pinali (1802, Cividale del Friuli - 1875, Padua) studierte Medizin u.a. in Wien, promovierte 1831/32 in Padua und wurde dort Professor der Inneren Medizin. Er leitete die medizinisch-chirurgisch-pharmazeutische Klinik, beschäftigte sich insbesondere mit Herz- und Lungenerkrankungen und förderte die Anwendung des Stethoskops in der klinischen Praxis. Pinali pflegte enge Verbindungen zwischen den medizinischen Schulen von Padua und Wien und wirkte als Lehrer mehrerer Generationen von Ärzten Norditaliens. Pinali ist bis heute vor allem als klinischer Lehrer und Mäzen bekannt: Seine umfangreiche Privatbibliothek und Stiftungen bildeten den Grundstock der "Biblioteca Medica Centrale Vincenzo Pinali" der Universität Padua, später mit der botanischen Sammlung Marsilis vereint. Sein Porträt von Cecchini, verbreitet durch die Litografia Kier und heute u.a. in der Wellcome Collection und italienischen Institutionen aufbewahrt, fungiert als wichtiges ikonographisches Dokument eines führenden Klinikers der norditalienischen Medizin des 19.
