In den WarenkorbSoftcover. Zustand: Very Good. Art Print. A generally very well-presented print, hand-signed at the bottom edge by the artist and dedicated to 'Neville'. The paper itself has a couple of very mild creases towards the outer margins, and some light abrasion to the back side reinforced with conservaton tape to prevent wear. The image itself remains clear and presentable, with no major marks or imperfections beyond those intentionally included as part of the printing process, colours remain bold. Includes: (1) '13 Proverbs to Live by [Linocuts]' [1968], a card portfolio of printed linocuts, numbered 54 of 100 copies; (2) 'Wm. Blake - Proverbs of Hell' [n.d., c.1974] signed and numbered 70 of 125. Designed and printed by Piech at his private press, the Taurus Press of Willow Dene, Bushey Heath, Hertfordshire. Tape marks on cover indicate a missing cover illustration; (3) 'No Man is an Island - John Donne' [n.d., c.1975] signed and numbered 109 of 125. Tape marks on cover indicate a missing cover illustration; (4) four small press publications with covers designed by Piech: The Dignity of Labour by Martyn Lowery (Littlewood Press, 1984), and Pennine Platform nos. 2, 3, and 17 (two published in 1978 and 1987, all edited by Brian Merrikin Hill). Also includes a few pages of a modern publication comprising an illustrated article by Kenneth Hardacre titled 'The Private Press of Paul Piech'. Hardacre describes Piech's work as having "a social message", and that "Piech's books make you feel uncomfortable - and that is why they exist: their aim is to disturb. They have great power - a power that is to be found above all in the profusion of linocuts and woodcuts that pour through their pages".
