Philippa "Pippa" Miller (1905-2006) Norfolk writer, painter and photographer attended Lowestoft School of Art. She wrote a book on Village Signs in Norfolk with a teaching colleague and researched pill boxes in the area. Late in life she had two exhibitions in Norwich Cathedral. The first was concerned with her artistic record of wartime Norwich and the second focused on her Broadland scenes. Peter Haining (1940Ð2007) was a prolific writer and editor on subjects ranging from crime and horror to witchcraft and fantasy. He became Editorial Director of the New English Library publishing house. He was married to Philippa Waring who has published books with the Souvenir Press on folklore, traditional medicine and healing, including 'A Dictionary of Omens and Superstitions' and 'The Way of Feng Shui'.
