Druck auf Anfrage Neuware - Printed after ordering - 'Man soll das Fell des Bären nicht aufteilen, bevor man den Bären hat', noch heute klingen diese Worte des Vaters in den Ohren des Sohnes, der sich hochmotiviert und gutgläubig bereit erklärt hatte, in den Krieg zu ziehen. Dass der Zweite Weltkrieg kein Spiel war und für viele junge Soldaten eine grausame Reise ohne Heimkehr war, musste auch der Autor sehr schnell lernen. Mit neunzehn Jahren eingezogen, bekam er die Brutalität und Sinnlosigkeit dieses Krieges am eigenen Leibe zu spüren. Der Tod wurde zum ständigen Begleiter ¿ ebenso wie die Angst. Die anfängliche blinde Begeisterung wurde schnell verdrängt von Zweifeln über das Regime und von der Wut auf den sogenannten Führer. Dieses Buch erzählt seine persönliche Geschichte: Die Belagerung vor Leningrad, seine Verwundungen und schließlich das Kriegsende, welches ihn ins belgische Kriegsgefangenenlager im Kohlerevier brachte. Peter Ingwersen, geboren 1923, übernahm nach Ende des Zweiten Weltkrieges den elterlichen Bauernhof in Lütjenhorn, nahe der dänischen Grenze.
