Blue cloth-covered boards with gilt motif and black decorations on front panel, gilt lettering on the spine. Bevelled edges. 8vo. Cloth is a little worn, rubbed through on corners and spine ends, two small dark marks on verse. Scattered rust spots on endpapers; inked squiggle (perhaps a previous owner's signature?) on front paste down else internally neat, clean, bright and tight.  .

Zustand: Good. No edition remarks. 618 pages. Fully bound green leather with gilt. Black and white illustrations throughout. School prize embossing. Marbled endpapers and textblock edges. Pages with some foxing and tanning, particularly to endpapers and textblock edges. Cracking to hinges, but binding remains firm. Boards have heavy wear with bumped and abraded corners. Spine scuffed, torn and repaired. Gilt dulled. Board surfaces scratched and rubbed.

* CONDITION : Used - Poor * OTHER: The boards have some heavy wear to the edges and corners, the spine is ripped with some fading. The binding is fragile, the front hinge is split exposing the binding block and the ffep and title page is lose. The tanned pages are clean with a dedication penned on the inside front board dated 1891 and another dated 1931. This book has 605 pages plus list of other volumes. All in all a nice example of this book.
