Collated and complete.Henry Irving, among the most celebrated actors of the Victorian stage, became the first actor to receive a knighthood in 1895. He died on 13 October 1905, succumbing to a stroke shortly after leaving the stage from a performance of Becket. In the publisher's original quarter cloth binding with pictorial paper covered boards. Boards rubbed and faded. The off slight handling mark and scratch to boards. Slight rubbing and bumping to extremities. Slight soiling to paper boards. Slight cockling front and rear paste downs.
