The leading pastedown in volume I part 1 outlines the 'Terms of publication': the present improved edition of Bell's well-known and highly popular System of Geography will be completed in twelve half volumes, price 6s. 6d. each, or six handsome volumes, price 13s. each, and illustrated by a full Atlas of Maps, and numerous fine engravings.' This work is rarely found in the full twelve volumes, almost all examples found having been bought or bound up into six.
