The present publication, Wiener's second monograph - preceded by 'The Fourier integral and certain of its applications', 1933 - treats Fourier transforms in collaboration with his student R.E. Paley (1907-33), who was killed in a skiing accident while a Rockefeller Fellow at M.I.T.
