Contains illustrated additional title-page, (xxxiii), [i]…, 292 pp illustrated by 150 designs by Victor Adam over 38 single-sided plates of engravings, illustrating 150 birds, each plate exquisitely hand-coloured. White paper label to the front free end paper with the name 'A. J. Warnock', ink name above, one gathering slightly proud, two loosely enclosed letters, one typed, one hand written from 'Jacques Delmand' referring to the contents of the book, rubbing to the leather corners, hinges sound and in Very Good. Member of the P.B.F.A. ORNITHOLOGY.

Self-addressed by the collector on the reverse. The Mecklenburg physician Scharlau (b. 1888) assembled a collection of artists' autographs by personal application.
