Undated but the series dates from the 1920s and 1930s; illustrated d.j. shows girl with dress and hairdo of WWI era; 402 p., clean and unmarked anywhere on paper that is tan but not chipped. Spine firm; unfaded green boards have slight bumping of corners despite protection of unfaded pictorial d.j., that has chipping on edges and open tear at crown of spine panel despite the protection of Brodart cover. Inner back panel of d.j. lists other books in series.

Cover is worn, particularly along edges. Some of corners have been torn off. Page corners slightly bumped. Most pages are free of marks, though front cover and one other page are marked with the letter F. Back cover has some pencil scribbles. Overall well-loved, with vintage appeal. Children's book features full-page color illustrations, all of which are signed by the artist.
