Vintage reference photograph of actor Fernando Lamas from the 1951 film. A woman and her father go to Paris where, unbeknownst to her, her mother lives. She meets a man, but her father tries to keep her from marrying because he feels it would be a mistake. Lamas began acting on screen in the 1940s in his home country of Argentina, where he was a big star in films like "La rubia Mireya" (1949) and "Story of a Bad Woman" (1948). In the 1950s he signed a contract with MGM and began acting in American films and musicals, including "The Merry Widow" (1952). He is also known for "The Cheap Detective" (1978) and "The Law and the Lady" (1951). Set and partially shot on location in Paris. 1.75 x 2.5 inches. Laurel worries that the kidnapping will appear to be a publicity stunt and damage her career, so she begins to aide them in the crime. 10 x 8 inches. Song highlights include "Wooden Heart," "Blue Suede Shoes," and the title number. The spectacular box-office performance proved that Elvis' popularity had not only survived his Army tenure, but had actually increased. A soldier stationed in Germany manages to produce a large stage show for his fellow troops. He also bets than he can nab the "ice princess" entertainer. Horniman's 1907 novel "Israel Rank: The Autobiography of a Criminal" served as the basis for the 1949 black comedy "Kind Hearts and Coronets." 10 x 8 inches. No Binding. Zustand: Very Good. 1st Edition. A very nice First Screening, Finnish lobby poster for the Martin & Lewis comedy You're Never Too Young. The film's first and only cinema screenings took place in Finland in 1956. Standard Finnish A2 size, measuring approximately 15.5" x 23.5. The poster was made by Fotopaino Oy, artist signed in the plate. Condition: C7, Very Good. A rolled poster. No very obvious signs of mounting but possibly clamped. At the top edge, above the R in "Parturi", there is a small (1/4 inch) tear. Some minor nicks to the extreme bottom edge and a couple to the left edge. Also at the bottom edge, next to the printer's name is a neat inked date - "1956". Nonetheless, presents very, very well and a nice poster. As well as describing the condition of our posters meticulously we also take care to research them and provide accurate information concerning dates of issue, theatrical runs etc. Authenticity guaranteed! Two vintage photographs, a publicity photograph of Lanny Ross and a reference photograph of Lanny Ross, both shot by photographer Ray Jones for the 1934 film. Both photographs with a studio stamp crediting photographer Jones on the verso, and one with two mimeo snipes on the verso, one affixed and one printed. From the archive of noted Hollywood still photographer Ray Jones. Born in Wisconsin on January 1, 1901, Jones worked for Paramount Pictures in the early 1930s, and went on to be the head of the still photography department at Universal Pictures in 1935, where he worked well into the 1950s. College football star Jack Oakie and piccolo player Lanny Ross both have eyes for Helen Mack, and their rivalry continues after graduation when Oakie gets a job in Ross' dad's department store. Lanny Ross was a singer, pianist, songwriter, and actor who appeared in eleven films from 1933 to 1943. He was also the winner of the 300 yard sprint at the 1928 USA Indoor Track and Field Championships. 8 x 10 inches. Near Fine.…

Mimeograph snipe and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer rubber stamp to the verso. A highly fictionalized (and especially glamorous) account of the creative partnership between Lorenz Hart and Richard Rodgers. The star-studded film, billed as "the biggest musical in Technicolor," was a hit at the box office, though still barely able to recoup its heavy production costs. Rooney and Garland's final on-screen appearance together. The film was criticized for having sanitized the mental health problems and self-destructive behavior Hart suffered from that ultimately led to the break-up of the partnership, as well as for omitting any mention of his homosexuality, instead fabricating a fictional romantic attachment to a "Peggy McNeil."
