En el extremo derecho del mapa hay una cartela decorativa, que incluye figuras alegóricas, el díos Neptuno y Tritones, un escudo de armas de Barcelona y escalas. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ A large, highly ornemental, hand-coloured map of Catalonia by Nicolas Visscher from his Atlas Contractus Orbis Terrarum Praecipuas ac Novissimas Complectens Tabulas, dated circa 1677 or 1680. The map offers many toponymic and topographical details, which are shown pictorially. A compass rose featuring a fleur-de-lys points north, with a star indicating east. On the far right-hand side of the map lies a decorative cartouche, including allegoric figures, Neptune and Tritons, a coat of arms of Barcelona and scales. c. 1678 FRA. Good (bueno).
