The story is about a boy who imagines that the fleur-de-lis on his bedroom's wallpaper are lions. At the end, the boy becomes ill and dies. Three flaps of the DJ fold over each of the book's front and back covers. The cover and endpapers have darkened where touched by the DJ. The front endpaper has an owner's name and a 1909 date. The DJ has shelf wear soiling, numerous stains, and 2 in. is missing from the bottom end of the spine panel. The bottom end of the text block spine is missing 1 1/4 in. of cheesecloth. There is no evidence that the text block spine had another cover besides from the DJ. Text block ends have darkened. Scans e-mailed upon request.
