Engraved portrait of Moyreau by Nonnette dated 1749, and 100 engraved plates numbered 1-100 with the engraved rococo title being numbered as plate 25. 88 plates engraved by Moyreau and the others by Cochin, Chedel etc. The title is engraved by Le Parmentier after J. de la Joue. Complete as per the bibliography Cohen-de Ricci 1068. Scarce COMPLETE copy. Included are 5 double page plates and one page with 2 plates on the page. The final 8 plates are numbered in manuscript and the last 2 plates are 'before letters'. Good thick laid paper. Plate 3 repaired, 10 plates with the margins rather browned. Otherwise very good impressions. Philip Wouverman (or Wouwermans, 1619-1668), a Dutch painter renowned for his works on hunting, landscape and battle scenes and his exceptional and highly sought after illustrations of horses.
