Morgan [1910?1993] and Marvin Smith [1910?2003] were identical African-American twin brothers. They were photographers and artists known for documenting the life of Harlem in the 1930s to 1950s. The Smiths photographed with the intention of showing the different facets of Black life. Along with capturing the Civil rights movement and anti-lynching demonstrations, the brothers were among the first to capture the vibrant lives of Harlem residents. Francis ?Frank? Madigan [1936-2020] created an Honors Seminar on the Harlem Renaissance, for which he took his students to the Shomburg Center for Research in Black Culture. Signed.
