In 1904, having difficulties with her voice, she switched to dramatic roles but later returned to musical roles in vaudeville, finally retiring in 1919.…

He is probably best remembered as the author of "Diamond Jim Brady" and "Lillian Russell, the Era of Plush". A native of New Jersey, Morell attended the Columbia School of Journalism before embarking on his writing career. He went on to write for The Saturday Evening Post, Cosmopolitan and the Ladies Home Journal and for a period in the mid 1930s, Universal Pictures in Hollywood. Morell died at the age of 36. James Buchanan Brady (August 12, 1856 April 13, 1917), also known as Diamond Jim Brady, was an American businessman, financier and philanthropist of the Gilded Age. At 23, Brady parlayed his knowledge of the rail transport industry and its officials to become a highly successful salesman for Manning, Maxwell and Moore, a railroad supply company. He was known for being the first person in New York City to own an automobile (in 1895). "Diamond Jim" is known for his longtime relationship with actress and singer Lillian Russell. It is said that her eating habits were a perfect match for his own. In 1912, Brady donated $220,000 to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, where he had once been treated. The hospital created the James Buchanan Brady Urological Institute in his honor. His estate was distributed to many institutions, most notably New York Hospital.
