Larry Moffi is the author of three collections of poems, most recently A Citizen's Handbook, and three nonfiction books on baseball, The Conscience of the Game: Baseball's Commissioners from Landis to Selig; This Side of Cooperstown: An Oral History of Major League Baseball in the 1950s; and Crossing the Line: Black Major Leaguers, 1947-1959. Interviews with some of the best baseball players from the 1950's who did not make it into the Hall of Fame.
