Buyanovsky Yury Vladimirovich Kochurov (1907-1952), Russian composer mainly of song-setting of Pushkin, Lermontov and other poets, wrote also significant orchestral works, incidental and film music. The composer's skill and stylistic sensitivity were strikingly revealed by his reconstruction of Tchaikovsky's "Voyevoda" and creation of Etudes for voice and piano after Glinka's autographs. Among Glinka's manuskripts kept in the St. Petersburg National Library there is the so-called "green notebook" containing, in particular, several drafts of vocalises. Some of them present only a melody, other have also an accompaniment outlined.
