APPARENTLY THE COPY OF CHARLES WILKINSON OF MOORFIELDS, a businessman and estate-owner in 3rd generation, THE NEPHEW OF JOHN WILKINSON (if not previously John's own copy) WHO TOGETHER WITH SAMUEL L. SOTHEBY WAS RUNNING THE AUCTION HOUSE IN EARLY AND MID-19TH CENTURY, and in December 1859 offered Castelli's Sicily-coins collection - which was previously owned by Lord Northwick - for sale not long after his death. It is highly presumable that the here presented copy of Castelli's work on Sicily-coins has been used as reference for the auction as it comes from the Wilkinson Family, whose history is well documented online, beginning with Joshua Wilkinson (1725-1790), his son John Henry, his brother William's son Charles, etc. . .
