Softcover, bound in color pictorial wraps illustrated by Dalton Stevens. The rear cover is soiled with minor wear to the bottom corner of that cover. The head & tail of the spine are very sli…ghtly chipped and there is a minor crease to the bottom corner of the front cover. 128 pages, profusely illustrated in black & white throughout. The artist and illustrator Dalton Stevens illustrated covers for several magazines produced by Bernarr Macfadden during the 1920's. His vision started to deteriorate in the 1930's eventually resulting in total blindness, a condition which was tragic for an artist. Despondent, at the age of 61, Stevens shot and killed himself, leaving suicide notes for his brother to find.
