On one side of 8 x 13.5 cm leaf of cream paper. In good condition, lightly aged and worn, with slight creasing to one corner. A good, firm underlined signature. Reads: 'Good luck to Enid! | Max Wall | 1951'. On the reverse is the autograph of an unknown signatory: 'To Enid | [Sister? Lister?] [J?] Ferguson'.

Crown Octavo 7½" by 5" (190 mm x 126 mm) approx. 258 pp. Profusely illustrated with black and white photographic reproductions in the text. A memoir from one of the last great originals of the music hall tradition. He switched from eccentric dancing to comedy and achieved stardom on stage, on radio and television. This is a highly personal account of a turbulent life. The covers and text block are unmarked and clean. The cream dust wrapper has brown and orange titles with no wear to the corners or spine ends. Both are fine. This is an uncommon title.
