Matthew Prior was an English poet and diplomat remembered for contributing to the political newspaper, 'The Examiner'. Stylistically, Prior's poems vary and exude skill. He was full of witty turns, well-remembered allusions and his mastery of the octo-syllabic couplet. In full library cloth bindings. Externally, excellent with minor shelfwear.
