As the name inplies, needle-made rugs are sewn (on canvas) with needle and wool, instead of being woven or hooked. There are three chapter son designing for oneself, the third dealing specially with rugs for churches. The chapter on 'Talking and Teaching' should appeal particularly to members of Women's Institutes and Townswomen's Guilds. Charts and diagrams are plentiful and helpful, and the photographed rugs have been carefully chosen to illustrated points made in the text.
