Vol II, pg. 550). A worn set with some of the marbled paper worn from the boards and with the vellum spine of Vol. 1 largely chipped away. Vol. 2's spine has some wrinkling and soiling at the bottom. The text is both volumes, however, is very good with some occasional foxing. The engraved title in Vol. 1 has some spotting in the margin and a short tear at the bottom. Hardcover. Quarto, two volumes. In Good condition. Bound in full brown leather. Gilt ornamentation to spines, edges and turn ins. Spines have labels with gilt lettering and volume information. Cracking and insect damage to joints. Boards have minor peeling, and scuffing. Chipping and light bumping to corners, in some cases leaving the boards visible. Textblocks have marbled end pages, ownership inscriptions partially removed on the typographical title pages, light age toning, scattered foxing and stains on some pages throughout, and red ink along the edges.
