Ausgehend von der Kunst des Biedermeier, die durch die Abstraktion der Formen, des Ornaments und der Farbe bestimmt ist, bringen Clegg & Guttmann in ihrer Auseinandersetzung mit der Materie eine eigene Ebene ein, die auf vorhandene ortsspezifische Strukturen reagiert. Das von den Künstlern speziell entwickelte Projekt deutet das Ensemble des Geymüllerschlössels als Hintergrund für mehrere pointierte, eigens beleuchtete und von Musik und gesprochenem Text begleitete szenische Tableaus aus Mobilien, Objekten, Instrumenten und Materialien des Biedermeier. In einem dramaturgisch geplanten Rundgang werden die Räume des Geymüllerschlössels aktiviert, um das Sommerhaus aus einer vergangenen Zeit zu neuem Leben zu erwecken. Begleitend zur Ausstellung erscheint die Publikation, die mit einer ausgewählten Zusammenstellung von Interviews mit ExpertInnen kulturelle Codes der angewandten Kunst, des Interieurs sowie der Architektur im Biedermeier nahebringt.
