Rand".'Legend of a Thought' is the debut poetry collection of American author Agnes Lee, published under her maiden name, Martha Agnes Rand.This is a pleasing collection of twenty-one poems, many of which explore the natural world.Including the titular 'Legend of a Thought', as well as 'The Tenement Baby', 'To Baby Violet', 'On the Death of a Young Woman', 'Flowers From the Shores of Lake Geneva', and 'A Reminiscence of Munich.Lee was an American poet and translator, who was the daughter of the co-founder of the publishing company Rand McNally, William H. Rand. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. Light rubbing and bumping to the spine and extremities. A few light marks to the boards. Spine is a little faded. Hinges are starting but firm. Author's inscription to the recto of the front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very lightly age-toned and clean.
