An uncommonly seen work on the wildlife and countryside of the Surrey hills, with notes on rivers and fish, birds and woodlands, and country sports. The author is unnamed, but previous owners have identified him as Denham Jordan, the author of many other natural histories and observations on British wildlife. 2 pages of publisher's advertisements and a 32-page publisher's catalogue to the rear. In the publisher's original pictorial cloth binding. Externally fairly smart, though darkened to the spine, with small faint marks to the boards and light shelf wear to the joints and extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean except for offsetting to the paste downs and end papers. Very Good. book.
