Circa 1930, 210 x 165 mm, 8¼ x 6½ inches, paper wraps with coloured illustration to upper cover, coloured advert to lower cover, 14 pages including insides of covers, 2 full page coloured illustrations, 2 full page line illustrations, numerous line illustrations in the verse text, all intended to…be coloured. The story extols the virtue of teeth cleaning of course and the treasure is the tube of Colgate toothpaste. Colgate & Company sold the first toothpaste in a tube in 1896 and Palmolive-Peet bought the Colgate Company in 1928. Very slight browning to spine and edges of covers, slight rust marks from staples.
