In the present study the marine algae Gracilaria corticata and Spirulina platensis collected and Shade dried. The shade dried marine algae material was powdered and the powder was subjected to soxhelet, extraction with methanol. The various chemical constituents like alkaloids, flavonoids, glycosides, phenols, saponins were identified in this marine algae by TLC and HPLC method.
