Zustand: Very Good. 2nd edition. Decorated cloth, VG. 270pp, b/w frontis, title vignette, 6 b/w plates, all edges gilt, spine sunned, otherwise the binding in a nice condition with the upper board showing a galleon under sail & the spine a man with a rifle ( somewhat out of keeping with the setting of the book ), gift inscription to the endpaper, booksellers ticket of J E Beale, Bournemouth on the pastedown. Maritime set fiction for boys & one of a handful of such tales penned by Paull. The novel is set in the late 1700s, on the south coast of England. 700 grams.
